Aileen Evans takes over CIH Presidency

Our Chief Executive, Aileen Evans, has today taken over the presidency of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH).

Aileen, who takes over from former incumbent, Jim Strang, will lead the organisation for the next 12 months.

Having been Vice President for the past year, Aileen was voted into post by members of the CIH last August.

Aileen said: “It’s a privilege to be able to take on the presidency and it’s been a pleasure working with Jim over the past year, who has been a tremendous ambassador for the sector. His help and support have been invaluable.

“It’s an important time for the sector, with the General Election on the horizon and the uncertainty surrounding Brexit. I’m looking forward to using the next twelve months to continue Jim’s work in highlighting the fantastic work the CIH does.”

The CIH has 17,000 members globally and its mission is to support housing professionals to create a future in which everyone has a place to call home.
