Demolishing former Towcester office to make way for modern apartments

News – 6 December 2021

Demolition work is planned for our former office in Burcote Road, Towcester, to make way for 20 modern apartments to be built in its place.

Work will soon start on site at Wood Burcote House to build 20 apartments, 1 one bed and 19 two bed, for shared ownership sale in a three-storey, contemporary brick building, the former home of South Northants Homes.

Grand Union’s Director of Development & Commercial, Dave Lakin, said: “It’s a historic moment for our organisation, to be able to use the site of our former office to provide affordable homes for residents of Towcester and the surrounding area.

“We’re very much looking forward to transforming this former office block into high quality, modern homes. The layout has been designed to enhance the existing setting, taking account of the landscaped area to the front of the site and the existing protected trees.”

Demolition is due to start in the next two months and the apartments are due for completion in Winter 2023.
