Fantastic news for home learners!

News – Thursday 7 January 2021

A government scheme is being launched to support scores of home learners across the UK.

The latest national lockdown has put face-to-face education on hold for many, and students are reliant on broadband and mobile data to continue their learning.

In light of this, the government is offering support and financial help to those impacted by the crisis.

The scheme will see temporary increases of data allowances for mobile phone users on certain networks. It’s something home learners will not want to miss, if lagging broadband or limited data disrupt their education.

This will be a lifeline for students without broadband or who can’t afford extra data for devices. Many network providers, including Three, Smarty, Virgin Mobile, EE, Tesco Mobile and Sky Mobile, are taking part in the scheme.

While face-to-face education may be very much missed, we hope students and families will make use of this brilliant offer!
