Our Money Advice service remains suspended while we await approval from the Financial Conduct Authority to provide the service. The reason for this is because our previous licence to operate was under the name of Aragon and we were unable to apply for the new licence until Grand Union Housing Group Limited was formed on 1 October.
We anticipate having our new licence by February 2019.
In the first six months of this financial year our Money Advice service has secured solutions for £88,655 worth of debt; £28,993 was written off via medical write-offs, charitable funds or Debt Relief Orders; the remainder was secured by setting up affordable arrangements the customer can afford to keep to which were accepted by the people they owe money to.
If you’d like to enter our waiting list please contact Customer Services on 0300 123 5544 and ask to speak to Money Advice. However, if you have an urgent need for debt advice you should contact Citizens Advice, Step Change or National Debt Line or, if you live in South Northamptonshire, you can still access the Money Advice service at South Northants Council as normal.
This does not affect Welfare Benefits advice, which will continue as normal.
