In a bid to tackle the region’s housing crisis, we are delighted to have delivered 49 desperately needed Bedford homes.
We recently completed our flagship Gatehouse Mews development. The complex includes 31 properties available for rent and shared ownership. There are also 18 bespoke supported living properties, for those with learning difficulties.
The eagerly awaited construction comes as the UK faces a devastating housing crisis. According to homelessness charity, Shelter, over the last five years, affordable housebuilding has averaged less than 6,500 homes a year – nowhere near enough for the 1.1 million people on the waiting list.
Gatehouse Mews was delivered in partnership with Bedford Borough Council, on the town’s old iron works site, and comes as part of Grand Union’s plans to build 1,800 homes in the next five years.
