Congratulations to Shefford customer, 80 year old Bridgette Whittaker, who has raised over £1,400 for the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group on completion of her tandem skydive at an airfield near Peterborough recently.
Bridgette’s family and friends were all there, including her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were clamouring to wish her well and give her a hug.
Bridgette doesn’t look, or act, her 80 years and her attitude to life, despite losing two children at a young age, is remarkable and inspirational. We couldn’t tell if Bridgette was nervous or not, as she’s a natural chatterbox, but having flown only once before (and hated it, according to her granddaughter) we weren’t sure how she’d get on.
She was the first out of the plane and was smiling when she landed but her first words were “Never again!”
Well done Bridgette, now what’s next?
