Upcycling is a great way of transforming an item that’s unloved into something unique and special to you. It’s a way of being creative and sustainable, giving something a new lease of life for a fraction of the price of buying something new, and avoid throwing the old one into landfill.
We’re planning to run a couple of free upcycling workshops in May (on Tuesday 19 and Tuesday 26) and would like to gauge interest so we can see where best to hold the events.
Each workshop can accommodate 10 people and will be six hours long and include lunch. All you need to do is bring your small item of furniture (make sure it fits into your car, so no wardrobes or beds please!) and you have pre-sanded.
We’ll provide the paint, and the knowledge will come from experts at IMPAKT Housing and Support. You will take away a brush and some more paint to keep you going!
