No More Week

News – 7 March 2022

No More Week is an annual opportunity to come together to raise awareness of domestic abuse, inspiring individuals, organisations and communities to make change.

This week is also the first anniversary of the launch of our online Safe Space; the first housing provider in the UK to offer this. The Safe Space is untraceable and allows our customers to access domestic abuse information, helplines and specialist support services.

During 2021, our dedicated Domestic Abuse & Safeguarding team helped 128 customers/families to escape abusive situations.

One family helped by the team said: “Every step for us was scary and worrying, to say the least, but we felt confident that safety was your main priority in getting the help we needed. We’re so happy to be here and can look forward now to a positive future.”

As well as being committed to helping our customers who are experiencing domestic abuse, we have that same commitment to our colleagues too. That’s why we’re introducing Domestic Abuse responders at Grand Union, who will be positive advocates for domestic abuse, signposting into the Domestic Abuse & Safeguarding team and empowering colleagues to access support and guidance, where appropriate.

If you, or someone you know, is experiencing domestic abuse, please visit our Domestic Abuse support page for advice and information, or reach out to our dedicated Domestic Abuse & Safeguarding team. They will listen to you and believe you.
