Bereavement Care exists to promote the well-being of people and to enable anyone bereaved by death to understand their grief and cope with their loss. Their services are free and confidential. For further information please visit the Bereavement Care website.

If you need advice and assistance with your finances, following a bereavement, our Benefits and Money Advice Team may be able to help.

When a customer has passed away, we will require a death certificate and four weeks' notice to end the tenancy. If the property is a joint tenancy, your housing officer will be in contact to discuss changing joint tenancy to a sole tenancy.

For succession of a property, please contact your Housing Officer. Please note that yYou need to have been in occupation of the property for at least 12 months prior to the death.
