Benefits advice

Our dedicated team may be able to help if you believe you are entitled to benefits or you need advice relating to benefits.

Many people do not realise that they may be entitled to additional income in the form of benefits and struggle to manage on the limited income they have.

You might be entitled to benefits if you are:

  • unemployed
  • sick
  • disabled
  • in low paid employment
  • responsible for children
  • a carer for a disabled person
  • retired and/or elderly

Our dedicated Financial Wellbeing team can help with:

  • making claims for benefit (such as completing claims forms with you)
  • checking you are on the right benefits
  • explaining how your benefits have been calculated
  • dealing with your benefits if they have been stopped or if you have been told you have been sanctioned
  • challenging decisions made about your benefits
  • representing you at appeal tribunals
  • estimating how much you may get after a change of circumstances

Within the last year our Welfare Benefits Advisors helped our customers secure just under £3.37 million in extra benefits, so if you think you might be missing out, get in touch.
