Neighbours arguing/shouting
We donโt usually consider this to be antisocial behaviour.
What to do if youโre being disturbed
We want everyone to enjoy their home. We ask that residents are considerate and tolerant of their neighbours. But we understand that hearing arguing or shouting often can be upsetting.
If youโre continuously being disturbed by shouting, you could try the following:
- Have a friendly word with your neighbour, using these tips. They may not be aware you can hear them or that theyโre disturbing you.
- Contact your local Environmental Health Officer if speaking to your neighbour does not resolve the issue.
- Consider using mediation. This is a confidential service we offer to help neighbours resolve issues. Learn more here.
Concerned about someone’s welfare?
If you have any concerns about the welfare of an adult or child, you should:
- Contact your local councilโs Social Services Safeguarding Team. You can find your local council here.
- Contact the Police.
- Find out more info on our support page.
