Work has begun to build 34 affordable homes for local people in Navenby, near Lincoln.
We’re working with Lindum Group to deliver the homes in High Dyke.
Made up of 30 two-storey semi-detached houses and four semi-detached bungalows, the scheme will be made available for affordable rent and Shared Ownership.
Applications from people with local connections to Navenby and Wellingore will be prioritised for the homes.
Marcus Keys, Chief Development and Commercial Officer, said: “This development will provide much-needed affordable housing in Navenby and give local people the chance to get on to the property ladder.
“We have an ambitious target to build 1,000 new homes a year, and seeing work start here is very pleasing. We’re building the affordable housing that people want, in the areas where it’s needed most, and our partnerships with organisations such as Lindum Group are helping us achieve this.
“I’m looking forward to seeing work progress on site and welcoming our new customers to their homes once they’re completed.”

The homes are being built to high sustainability standards, in line with the Central Lincolnshire Local Plan. They will feature enhanced insulation, solar photovoltaic panels to generate electricity, and air source heat pumps for heating and hot water.
Lindum Group construction manager Mark Carter said: “We will begin with site strip and riddle the soil to separate the natural stone. None of the stripped soils will be removed from site – the topsoil and stone will be reused.
“We will then raise the site levels, install drainage, and start work to install the roads.
“Once this is complete, we will then progress with timber frames with the first superstructure brickwork commencing in December.”
