Grand Union Housing Group is delighted to have made Inside Housing’s Top 50 Biggest Builders list for 2022.
Despite the challenges of rising costs, issues with supplies, a shortage of labour and the Covid-19 pandemic, the Milton Keynes based housing association built 308 new homes in 2021/22, with nearly half of those (147) for social or affordable rent.
Dave Lakin, Grand Union’s Director of Development & Commercial, said: “We’re delighted to have made this year’s list of Top 50 Biggest Builders and we’re on track to do even better this year, expecting to build 330, which will be a new record for us.”
The top 50 housing associations completed over 40,000 homes in 2021/22, an increase of 16% on the previous year and an investment of more than £7.4bn.
