A huge welcome to our new Board Member, Nannette Sakyi.
Nannette is an experienced housing professional; throughout her 15-year career she has helped develop new-build properties and delivered business change.
She holds broad experiences in housing, from her positions in operational management and service improvement, to her current role as a Senior Project Manager for a local authority.
On top of that, Nannette serves as a Board Member for Eldon Housing Association and has a Master’s degree in housing and inclusion.
Nannette said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as a Board Member for Grand Union. Since my appointment I have had to the opportunity to visit the K2 office. This included a tour of some of the wonderful developments that Grand Union have achieved over the past few years and some the sites that are currently in the pipeline. I was really impressed with the achievements.
“During my visit to K2, I had an opportunity to meet some of the team members. It was great to have a walk-through well-designed office. I have also had the opportunity to meet with the Executive team one on one discussing various topics around our commitment to staff and our residents. There are also a few more meetings with other members of the team that are being scheduled as part of my induction which I am really looking forward to.
“The welcome has been very thorough and professional, I have been provided with a great insight of the work that has been done so far and the plans and ambitions for the future. I look forward to working with you all and being part of the success of Grand Union.”
