We are delighted to have been awarded the Investors in People (IIP) Silver Award.
This accreditation recognises the considerable progress we’ve made over the last three years and is a fantastic achievement – something only 15% of the organisations IIP assess achieve.
Amongst the comments in the assessor’s report were:
• “You have a team of people who share your values and are committed to working towards a positive outcome for your customers.”
• “You have a real focus on improving your services for the future.”
• “People think you’re a good place to work.”
• “There’s a good culture in place to show appreciation for a job well done.”
Aileen Evans, Grand Union’s Chief Executive, said: “I’m delighted that we’ve achieved silver accreditation. Our people are absolutely critical to Grand Union’s success, and so after what has been a challenging few years for so many, it’s great to see the hard work, drive and togetherness of our teams recognised.
“One of the key aims in Further together, our corporate plan for 2020-23, was to provide an empowering and supportive working environment. This accreditation shows that we’re achieving that aim.”
