Customer survey about household contents insurance

We recently asked our Voice members to take part in a survey about household contents insurance.

We had a great response to this survey, which revealed:

• 97% are aware that we don’t provide home contents insurance
• 29% don’t have contents insurance, mainly due to the cost of the policy
• 11% had previously had a policy but cancelled it to save money.

Faced with the loss of their possessions, 80% of those who are uninsured said they would have to go without until they could afford to replace them.

Uninsured customers said they were likely to feel anxious, stressed and nervous about not having contents insurance.

Those who are insured said they felt protected, reassured and secure.

Poll Results

We also use Voice to run some polls that are just for fun. Last month, it was National Cheese Day and we asked you what your favourite cheese was:

• Cheddar was your champion, with 51% of the votes
• 8% love Mozzarella
• 8% chose Stilton
• 7% like a bit of Red Leicester
• 7% want Wensleydale
• 3% aren’t a fan of cheese
