Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund event in Rushden

We recently held an open day for customers in Rushden to find out more about the energy efficiency improvement work we’ll be carrying out on their homes as part of Wave 3 of our Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund programme.

Representatives from contractors Morgan Sindall and Lovell were on hand, as well as colleagues from our Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund Project Team, to talk to customers about what they can expect from the energy efficiency upgrades and to answer any questions customers might have about the work involved.

One customer who attended was Kevin, who’s due to see his home undergo several improvements in the next nine months, including a new front door, back door, new windows and external wall insulation: “The event was definitely useful, 100% – especially getting to talk to the contractors who went through everything with me. The kids enjoyed it too and were talking about it all day. They’re looking forward to having a new green front door!”

We’re investing circa £41 million in nearly 2,100 homes as part of the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund wave three project, having received a government grant of £20.3 million.
