Important things to know

  • It can take up to six weeks to set up a Direct Debit. Please make sure you continue to make rent payments during this time so you don’t get behind on your rent.
  • We collect rent from most customers over a 48-week period every year. The Direct Debit is set based on four weeks every month. This makes 48 rent weeks for the year.
  • We will let you know if there are any changes to your rent. We will also update your Direct Debit to reflect this, so you won’t need to make any changes.
  • The first Direct Debit of each rent year is taken on 15 April. This allows the correct notification period in line with the Direct Debit guarantee.
