Our Accessibility team is here to help

News – 22 April 2021

If you’re struggling with everyday activities like going up and down stairs, getting in and out of the bath or getting out of your home, we can help!

Our Accessibility team can provide equipment to maximise your independence, or even make small (or large) adaptations, to provide you with a better quality of life within a safe home environment.

We can assist with ramps, grab rails, lever taps, stair lifts, ceiling hoists, level access showers, widening paths, dropping kerbs and more, including improving the homes of wheelchair users and installing alarms for customers with sight and/or hearing impairments.

Although our in-house Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Community OTs had to carry out assessments over the telephone during the past year, we’re pleased that assessments are now able to be carried out in your home. And our specialist surveyors are also back to making home visits and designing adaptations, so we can identify what’s needed to keep you safe. Our aim is to enable you, and anyone who permanently lives in one of our properties, to live independently in your own home for as long as possible.
