Gardens

The Gardens consists of 24 self-contained one bedroom flats and 8 two bedroom flats, all of which are fitted with emergency alarm systems.

There is a communal lounge, kitchen and toilets.  The communal lounge is available to all customers to hire for parties, anniversaries, etc.

Customers are encouraged to organise and join in social activities which include quizzes, bingo, coffee mornings, lunches, games evenings and various trips and the travelling library calls regularly.

There is a computer with internet connection set up in the communal lounge at The Gardens with training sessions held by students from the local college to help customers and people living in the local area use computers and the internet.

In the local area

The Gardens is situated in Henlow which is a friendly and attractive village with among other things, its own bowls club, cricket team, jazz club and drama group. There is a club on a Monday that all customers are welcome to join.

The ‘Henlow News’ is published every two months and features all local issues and events.

Henlow has a voluntary care scheme to help with small household tasks, gardening, shopping, running errands and transport.

There is plenty going on in both the village and The Gardens so there is no need to feel isolated.
