Rental homes for key workers
We offer affordable rental homes to key workers, sometimes called essential workers, at our Campbell Wharf site in Milton Keynes.
Campbell Wharf is a development of 79 one, two and three bed properties offering rented homes to key workers at an affordable rate – 80% of the market rate.
Key workers are those who work in front-line public-sector roles across essential health, education and community safety services. They include:
- NHS staff
- Health and social care
- Education and childcare
- Emergency services
- Key public services
- Local and national government
- Food supply chain
- Transport
- Public safety and national security
- Utilities, communication and financial services.
Who can register?
Applicants must meet our current criteria to be eligible. To qualify applicants must:
- Be a key worker whose employer has nomination rights (only key workers from the specified list can apply). Key workers must provide a headed letter from their employers confirming their key worker status.
- Be on a permanent/fixed term contract of six months or more with the employer (i.e. not on a zero-hour contract or be an agency staff).
- Have permanent leave to reside in the UK (a copy of your documents confirming this must be included with your application) for Right to Rent checks.
- Your total household income must be less than £80,000 per year.
- You are unable to purchase a suitable home to meet your housing needs on the open market.
- You do not already own a home, or you will have sold your current home before you rent.
- You can independently afford the rent without recourse to public funds.

- We’ll check your documents and verify the information.
- Provided you meet the criteria, we’ll arrange a viewing of the property.
This processing time can take between two and five days.
