Mutual exchange

Mutual exchange

Is it time to turn over a new leaf this Autumn?

Have you been thinking about moving home? Maybe it’s for a new job, a bigger place for your family or simply to be closer to loved ones. Whatever the reason, a mutual exchange could be just the thing for you.

Whether you live in Kettering, Northampton, Daventry, Milton Keynes, Central Bedfordshire or any area covered by Grand Union, if you are looking to move, please get yourself registered on House Exchange https://www.houseexchange.org.uk/ and start your search.

What is a mutual exchange?

  • A mutual exchange is a home swap with another social housing customer.
  • When you move, you swap tenancies.
  • You can swap homes with any council or housing association customer in the UK as long as they have the right to mutually exchange and want to swap homes with you.

Concerned about the cost of moving?

You may be entitled to a one-off fresh start payment of £2,000 – please review the details on our website https://www.guhg.co.uk/finding-a-home/renting/mutual-exchange/helping-you-move-to-a-smaller-property/ to find out more.

Free membership?

Hopefully you are aware that we cover the costs of membership to House Exchange https://www.houseexchange.org.uk/ which is a service provider we use to support our customers finding mutual exchange partners. How can I join House Exchange?
