External works
External works include repairing and replacing any of the following:
- Fences – excluding party fences
- Paths
- Driveways
- Gates
- Wall finishes such as render
- Canopies
- Outbuildings
- Pavements, paths and roads owned by Grand Union
If we find we need to carry out any external works, our contractor will come to check. Once we’ve approved their recommendations, we’ll sort a date with you to do the work.
Our contractors will let you know how long we think the work will take. It will depend on how much work is being done.
Before work starts, please move any items that might be impacted by it. This is things like pot plants, or garden furniture. Don’t worry about moving anything heavy though.
Please keep pets and children away from the working area. This is especially important when front boundary fencing is being replaced or new concrete paths are being laid.
