Other types of rent

Market rent

Through our subsidiary, Grand Union Living, we provide homes to rent that aren’t social housing, and property management in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.

We’re different from other lettings companies in that we don’t work on commission. We offer:

  • a comprehensive lettings and management service
  • affordability appraisals
  • fast track referencing
  • flexible tenancies
  • a fully protected deposit scheme with the Deposit Protection Service
  • full check in/check out and after care service
  • transparent fees
  • your rights explained
  • a 24 hour/365 days a year emergency repairs service.

Our dedicated lettings team will help you from your first enquiry through to you moving into your home. Your lettings agent will manage your tenancy throughout, until you decide you would like to move on.

All our market rented properties are owned by Grand Union Housing Group and the rents are set the same as private renting. They’re offered on assured shorthold tenancies with a minimum term of 12 months.

When letting a property, we’ll ask for a deposit of five weeks’ rent. The deposit paid will be protected in a rent deposit guarantee scheme. A copy of this will be given to you when you begin your tenancy. We’ll also need the rent paid a month in advance.

We’re a member of the Residential Landlords Association and the Property Redress Scheme.

Intermediate rent

We also offer intermediate rent properties, where rents are typically set at 80% (or less) of market rents. These are also offered on assured shorthold tenancies with a minimum term of 12 months, similar to private renting.

We have properties in Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes.

Rental homes for key workers

We offer some affordable rental homes to key workers, sometimes called essential workers.
